About the Role

The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in leading daily production operations within a high-speed manufacturing environment while ensuring a strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting production targets. This leader is responsible for driving a safety-first culture, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring that all employees adhere to Standard Work and operational best practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, engaged leader who models and reinforces safety, quality, and production behaviors while fostering collaboration and accountability among hourly employees.Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree or technical college certification required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience conducting safety training, accident investigations, and workplace hazard assessments (Gemba walks).
  • Knowledge of Layered Process Audits (LPAs), Standard Work, and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage conflict, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance:

  • Lead weekly toolbox safety training to reinforce best practices and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Conduct and document safety incident and accident reports, ensuring timely investigations and corrective actions.
  • Perform Gemba walks to proactively identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace.
  • Ensure Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are up to date, communicated, and adhered to by all employees.
  • Promote a zero-incident safety culture by actively engaging employees in workplace safety discussions.

Quality & Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive a culture of quality by implementing and sustaining Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ensuring adherence to Standard Work procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Coach and mentor employees to ensure consistent execution of Standard Work across all production activities.

Leadership & Production Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals.
  • Lead shift briefings and stand-up meetings to communicate expectations, key metrics, and reinforce safety and quality priorities.
  • Manage and engage a shift fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
  • Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
