Foundry Operator II (Finance)



Job Title: Foundry Operator-1st Shift - (6:00am to 2:30 pm) Monday-Friday

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Pascagoula, MS

As a 1st Shift Foundry Operator for Rolls-Royce, you will have the opportunity work in one of the most unique foundry environments in North America. We work hands on with the newest foundry technology to produce extraordinarily large propeller castings that are critical to our customer's ability to operate.

What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you will get support the overall positive progression of the Foundry working directly with the on shift Team Leader. For this role, you must be able to work from heights using lifts with required safety equipment and PPE. Please note, overtime is determined by business needs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand and utilize established standard operating procedures to perform molding, melting, furnace and ladle lining, pouring, shake out of propellers and C.P. propeller blades using a variety of foundry equipment; i.e. sand mixers, vibrators, riser saw, furnaces, cranes, forklifts, etc. Training will be provided as needed
  • Perform all duties to the highest quality standards and within the allotted time or budget by Maintaining efficiency while achieving overall schedule.
  • Invoke prescribed safety rules and regulations. Report to supervision any unsafe conditions that they may become aware of . Must wear or use all company required safety equipment
  • Assist in the training of Level 1 foundry workers as required
  • Notify supervision of needed tooling, material or problems within the foundry operation during transfer of key concerns from shift to shift and summary report to the Foundry Manager.
  • Maintain tooling equipment and cleanliness of assigned work areas, etc.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate Degree + 1 year experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry OR;
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry
  • Hands on technician executing the operations technical/specific casting job needs to include (Job Folder adherence, drawing/BOM reading and understanding, Changepoint Management).
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:
  • Crane Certified or ability to earn certification within 6 months of accepting the position
  • Welder Experience
  • Fabrication Experience
