Advanced Practice Provider - Neonatology (Finance)



Nemours Children's Health, Orlando is seeking a full-time neonatal nurse practitioner or experienced NICU physician assistant to join our APP team. The ideal candidate will manage and provide care for the patient requiring neonatal intensive care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending neonatologist.

Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Reviews and provides general care items involved in neonatal care, such as temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.
  • Participates in daily rounds in NICU
  • Intervenes appropriately to assist in meeting the emotional needs of the families
  • Collaborates with attending physician, social worker, nursing staff, and other health care members in planning follow-up care
  • Actively participates in counseling and educating parents and family members
  • Fosters a spirit of inquiry, identifies nursing problems, and participates in research endeavors.
  • Disseminates nursing research findings and incorporates these findings into nursing practices for patient care within the specialty area.

  • Requirements:
  • Florida licensure
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • 2 years of Neonatal experience is preferred
