Surgery Scheduler (Finance)

As part of our expanded relationship in 2026, Nemours Children's Health will begin offering new specialties at Wolfson Children's Hospital-including Genetics, Infectious Disease, Medically Complex Care, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, NICU, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, PICU, and Rheumatology-further strengthening our 30-year collaboration. This role is part of our growth with Wolfson Children's, aimed at elevating access to high-quality pediatric services in the region.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates the clinic and surgery schedules for the providers to ensure there are no conflicts

Coordinates surgery schedule with internal and external operating rooms

Submits surgical clearances for the purpose of patient scheduling into the OR

Submits all information to the pre-certification team to ensure the insurance will cover the surgical costs

Acts as the family's liaison between the surgical centers and provider staff to ensure all education, authorizations and post op appointments are taken care of

Schedules outpatient ancillary procedures and testing for families

Must have the ability to work well with others.

Regular attendance is required.

Good communications skills are required.

Requirements:

High school diploma

CPR certification; Medical terminology preferred

Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred
