Sr. Analyst, Data Analytics (Finance)

TheSr. Analyst, Data Analyticsis responsible for leading data analytics and visualization initiatives to support continuous improvement and operational excellence at the Bay City site. Reporting to the Lean Manager, this role partners with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights using Power BI and other analytics tools. The Senior Analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making and driving performance improvements across the site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with lean, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to understand data needs and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
  • Lead data analysis projects to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., SAP, MES, Excel) to create unified and automated reporting solutions.
  • Mentor and support production teams in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement metrics.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Military experience considered in lieu of education requirement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience with writing SQL queries, Power Automate, RPA, or other data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time with operational support outside core business hours as needed to support the 24x7 Manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional exposure to the manufacturing environment requiring the use of safety equipment including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and steel toed work boots.
  • Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Standing and walking for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and wear all required personal protective equipment.
