Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, the Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and leadership of multiple retail locations within a defined territory. This role focuses on supporting store managers in achieving business objectives, driving sales, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering a consistent and exceptional customer experience across all locations. The Area Manager plays a key role in implementing company initiatives and ensuring adherence to brand and compliance standards.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Support and guide store managers in achieving sales targets, operational goals, and customer satisfaction benchmarks
Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with company expectations
Help implement company-wide initiatives and ensure consistent execution across all locations
Monitor market trends and customer behaviors to inform local store strategies
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by developing and mentoring store leaders
Review financial reports and individual store performance to identify areas for improvement
Partner with store leadership on inventory planning and merchandising to meet customer demand
Ensure all stores operate in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally to support broader business goals and initiatives
Qualifications:
3+ years as a store manager
Proven leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to operational detail
Financial acumen, including experience managing store P&Ls and budget planning
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business tools
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the state (approximately 75% travel)
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Multi-unit management experience
Bachelors degree in business, management, or related field
Experience in a regulated industry
Familiarity with cannabis products and retail compliance
