EVP Closing & Operations Officer (Project Management)



Position Summary:
The EVP Chief Closing & Operations officer is primarily responsible for managing and optimizing operations across all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness. Facilitate interdepartmental communication to enhance collaboration and workflow. Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement best practices to streamline processes and improve overall performance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Closing Process Management
· Oversee the SBA loan closing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
· Develop and implement strategies to enhance closing efficiencies:
· Streamline communication and workflows between departments.
· Monitor and improve closing timelines through performance metrics.
· Ensure compliance with SBA guidelines and industry best practices.
2. Efficiency Creation in Closings
· Identify and address bottlenecks specific to the closing process.
· Leverage technology to automate tasks and improve process flows.
· Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for closing activities.
· Conduct regular reviews and training to ensure team proficiency and knowledge.
3. Team Leadership
· Lead and mentor teams involved in the closing process to foster collaboration and accountability.
· Create a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the closing process.
· Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with SBA loan closings.
5. Represent Community Bankshares Inc and/or its subsidiaries in the community and at community events as appropriate.
6. Perform all other duties as assigned.



Required Skills/Abilities:
· Extensive experience in operations management with a specific focus on loan closings.
· Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities tailored to the closing process.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to foster interdepartmental collaboration.
· Demonstrated excellence in working with peer teams across organizations.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs and platforms.
Education and Experience:
· College Degree in finance or equivalent preferred.
· Ten (10) years' experience.
