Summary
The Catering Clerk is responsible for providing exemplary customer service while maintaining the safety of customers and team members. The Catering Clerk will exceed customer needs and expectations by providing efficient, accurate and pleasant check-out service and catering shopping assistance. Orders are prepared for store pickup and delivery, with a smile!
Responsibilities
Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistanceMaintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the company uniform policyDemonstrate the core values of Uncle Giuseppes and observe all Loss Prevention and Safety policiesPack items pertaining to orders and get then ready for delivery and pickup, ensuring that all items are inside each order. This includes any utensils, table clothes, service spoons, condiments, etc.Will prepare foods for catering or deli during down times of cateringMaintain a clean and neat workstationTaking orders from customers either in person or over the phones ensuring the right amount of food is orderedWill be responsible for processing customer online orders, packing orders and ensuring payments are receivedSetting up in store demosAssist in maintaining back-room efficiency by unloading/loading catering related deliveries and ordersProvide exemplary customer service and greet guests in a friendly mannerProperly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelinesOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years or olderPrior catering experience working in a fast paced environment is preferredAbility to work in varying temperaturesAbility to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful wayAbility to work cooperatively with othersAbility to operate all equipment customarily used by the Food Service Department and other equipment as may be requiredAbility to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Outgoing and friendly
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Can work within a team or on their own
Must be extremely detail orientated
Takes pride in their work and is always willing to learn
Must be able to lift safely 30lbs and up to 50lbs
Must be able to stand while walking for entire shift
Physical Requirements
All positions at Uncle Giuseppes must be able to adhere to these physical demands:
Continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced work environment;
Contact to various food allergens throughout the store;
Regular motions such as standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, lifting and reaching;
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours at a time;
Working in an environment with fluctuating temperatures;
