Business Development Representative (Finance)



As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Equifax Workforce Solutions , you are a vital engine for our growth and a key contributor to our strategic success. This role is at the forefront of our mission to accelerate growth by optimizing and expanding our sales capabilities (Imperative #4). You will be the first point of contact for high-priority prospects, responsible for initiating and delivering an unrivaled experience for employers and employees (Imperative #3) from the very first conversation. By engaging with director-level contacts, understanding their needs, and setting qualified discovery calls, you will build a robust sales pipeline and embody the collaborative spirit of our team.

What You'll Do:

Lead Generation and Qualification:

  • Rapidly respond to and qualify inbound leads, ensuring every interaction is professional, valuable, and reflects our commitment to an unrivaled client experience.
  • Execute targeted outbound campaigns (calls, emails, social outreach) that directly support our goal of accelerating sales growth.
  • Engage prospects in meaningful dialogue to understand their key challenges and qualify them for the next stage in our sales process.

Strategic Partnership and Market Intelligence:
  • Partner with Account Executives to strategically progress opportunities, contributing to a culture that supports and develops successful teams and talent (Imperative #1).
  • Serve as the eyes and ears of the market by gathering and relaying prospect feedback to product and sales leadership, providing crucial intelligence to help us smartly invest in product enhancements and disruptive innovation (Imperative #2).
  • Assist Marketing in generating interest with prospects to attend webinars, with follow-up to attendees to cultivate leads/opportunities.
  • Deliver comprehensive summaries of opportunities and client needs to the aligned Account Executive, ensuring a seamless handoff.
  • Attend national and regional conventions and conferences to be a booth/attendee resource for New Logo sales initiatives

Operational Excellence and Performance:
  • Leverage our CRM (Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms with precision to meticulously track activities and manage your pipeline, helping us drive operational efficiency and effectiveness (Imperative #5).
  • Manage and report on key business development metrics, providing accurate data that informs our sales strategy and demonstrates the impact of your efforts.
  • Support all marketing campaigns through diligent follow-up and appointment setting, maximizing the return on our investments.
  • Research and identify high-potential accounts that align with our strategic targets.

What Experience You Need:
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development or sales capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

What Could Set You Apart:
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to understand how front-line activities contribute to broader company objectives.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing cold outreach campaigns (Target list building, Calls, Emails, Social Selling).
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
  • A strong will to win, coupled with a confident executive presence.
  • Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication.

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 to $105,000. This position is also eligible for our annual incentive program. Apply
