Environmental Administrative Assistant (Finance)



Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Environmental Administrative Assistant will work closely with department groups, primarily field environmental and environmental permitting, to help ensure that internal procedures are followed, compliance and permitting documentation is efficiently processed to ensure critical due dates are met, and that records are properly maintained. This position will also be responsible for various compliance filing activities, periodic reporting and overall support of the environmental department. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Organizing environmental reports, data and other materials to ensure "inspection ready" compliance for company facilities.
  • Prepare permitting and compliance deliverables for submittal including the facilitation of a Quality Control Process for all environmental deliverables.
  • Ensure regulatory fees and other costs are accounted for, processed/paid and documented.
  • Responsible for various compliance filings related to permitting, emission credits, tax abatement and others.
  • Primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing departmental mailings.
  • Coordinate the public notice process with permitting per state requirements.
  • Identify and investigate compliance improvement opportunities.
  • Provide input to improve procedures and practices as necessary.
  • Prepare assigned routine reports.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and manage conference rooms.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Director, Environmental.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A minimum high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working in support and/or administrative assistant role is preferred.
  • 2 years of energy industry experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite of software, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Must be diligent in execution of work and adhere strictly to internal procedures.
  • Must respect and work aggressively towards meeting internal and regulatory deadlines.
  • Experience in environmental compliance and/or environmental permitting is preferred.
  • Must be detail-focused and have strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
