Travel LVN LPN Supervisor (Healthcare)

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Travel LVN LPN Supervisor to join our Mobile Clinic Operations (MCO) team. You will manage, guide and support a dynamic team of Nurses and Medical Assistants, travel regionally to various MCO events (primarily for training and auditing purposes), and still hone in on your clinical skills by delving into patient care!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, development, clinical guidance, and performance oversight to the various team members needed for events; serve as liaison with internal and external parties on any staff and equipment issues that might arise, and travel to various MCO events to monitor team performance
  • Measure and track the performance of staff and effectiveness of clinical training and other identified programs through testing, operational results, client/provider feedback, recommending enhancements as needed; support audits on identified programs
  • Perform nursing duties as needed, including but not limited to, conduct health screenings (e.g., health history, physical assessment, drug screening and other updates, administer vaccines/injections (subcutaneous & intramuscular); perform vitals, EKG, and Phlebotomy as needed and directed by higher clinical leadership
  • Conduct research on travel and event-related issues responding quickly and proactively in order to resolve in a timely manner; recommend long-term solutions to MCO senior leadership for improving business success
  • Participate in the analysis of data, including data collection, interpretation and evaluation of results
  • Support Health and Wellness programs
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to develop policies, procedures, workflow, and training materials which include course content, visual presentations, and training aids
  • Support all LVN/LPN staffing needs to meet the organizational and healthcare mission by rendering appropriate nursing experience as required and directed while working with internal and external contacts to fulfill staffing needs
  • Manage the assignment of the team members to events (i.e. MCO events, clinical coverage, telehealth, etc.) to ensure optimal utilization
  • Implement and train staff on new and/or revised policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain business relationships both internally and externally
  • Promote positive employee relations and resolve personnel issues though conflict resolution
  • Identify performance and development needs of team members through regular consultation with leadership; may also share team member and clinicians concerns, suggestions, and feedback with senior leadership
  • Be responsible for participating in and leading projects for continued support of growth initiatives
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 
  • Work a flexible schedule (e.g. weekends, after-hours availability, etc.) and travel up to 40% of the time
  • Demonstrate communications skills both written and verbal
  • Have an ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Have an ability to follow protocol-based care from higher medical authority
  • Operate in a highly regulated environment
  • Work in a calm and collective manner even in potentially high stress environments
  • Work in a fast paced environment with little to no supervision
  • Have strong knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, PII, and COC protocols 
  • Have proven ability to maintain confidentiality at all times 
  • Have strong knowledge of case management/care coordination/transfer protocols
  • Have strong knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Have an ability to resolve complex problems

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related field - OR - equivalent experience/combined education, and 5 years prior relevant experience 
  • 2 years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
  • 10 years of experience practicing as an LVN/LPN
  • A current, active, clean, clear and unrestricted LVN/LPN License
  • An ability to apply and obtain a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) to operate across the United States
  • A CPR (AED) certification 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS certification

Additional Information: (only add applicable items)

  • Training: 3 weeks = Week 1 remote compliance completion, Week 2 hands on clinical training in Nashville, Week 3 department overview led by Leadership
  • Shift: When traveling = Number of days will vary but events are typically 8-5pm; When not traveling = Working on-site out of our San Antonio Corporate Office Monday through Friday from 8-5pm
  • Travel requirements: Roughly 30% (may include evening/weekends), primarily regionally, as needed
