International Sales Specialist (Sales)



Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to support the IEEE Global Sales Team through the coordination and execution of a variety of business development and revenue generating activities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Sales, the position works closely with Regional Sales Managers, International Area Managers, and IEEE Global Dealer Network to develop and implement effective, repeatable strategies for both renewal and new sales.


Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively develops sales initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue and support strategic sales objectives
  • Collaborates with the International Area Managers to identify high-priority renewal accounts and those at risk, prepares and analyzes pertinent data, and partners with the marketing team to implement targeted strategies that support successful renewals.
  • Acts as a liaison to the dealer sales network, distributing information on new products, marketing collaterals, and any relevant intel on prospects and customers to support the sales efforts
  • Utilizes business intelligence platforms and tools to analyze customer data, build detailed customer profiles, and communicate identified sales opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyzes customer usage data to identify growth and or at-risk opportunities.
  • Builds strategic relationships across teams to accelerate pipeline growth, improve renewal outcomes, and support measurable sales targets
  • Gathers customer information to develop leads and prospects, and assesses lead quality to prioritize sales opportunities effectively
  • Coordinates with Sales and Marketing teams to execute customized marketing programs - such as targeted email campaigns, prospect segmentation, and program execution - resulting in increased sales conversion, improved campaign engagement, and stronger field sales support.
  • Identifies strategic upsell opportunities by understanding core clients business needs
  • Engages with new prospects and identifies new points of contacts at prospect accounts in an effort to generate sales opportunities.
  • Reviews sales forecast reports for accuracy in meeting required guidelines and ensures data integrity
  • Optimizes sales processes with automation, new technologies and improve methodologies that will optimize sales activities
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the market landscape and emerging industry trends.
  • Supports the onboarding of new sales representatives and dealers, and coordinates regular sales training sessions to ensure alignment in best practices and performance readiness
  • Assists with planning and coordination of sales meetings, sales trainings, and customer events, including logistics, agenda development, vendor communications, and cross-team collaboration
Travel Information
  • 15% Domestic and International This position may require both domestic & international travel several times per year. Candidates must possess valid travel credentials, including a current passport
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing or other related field preferred or equivalent experience Pref
Work Experience
  • 4-7 years Business experience in a marketing, sales, or client services role Req
Skills and Requirements
  • - Strong communication, project management, and business operations skills are essential. Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including IEEE staff, customers, prospects, and sales dealers across global markets.
  • - Must be confident presenting to audiences and able to clearly articulate key messages with clarity and impact.
  • - Strong business writing skills are essential, particularly when communicating with International Dealers for whom English is not a first language.
  • - Must be a tech-savvy professional who proactively leverages technology solutions to address business challenges and improve efficiency.
  • - Must possess strong PC skills with an emphasis on advanced Excel knowledge, including data manipulation, cleanup, and analysis. Proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • - Able to manage multiple tasks across various business systems is essential. Experience with Salesforce.com and Tableau is preferred.
  • - Business fluency in Chinese is preferred and knowledge of international market dynamics
