Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester (Finance)



Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester in Lexington Park, MD - Remote. Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $60k-$75k annually (depending on experience)

Work Location: This is a remote position.

**On-Site Requirements: Candidates may be required to attend meetings at the Lexington Park, MD office. The government will not pay for travel.

Essential Functions:

  • Contribute to several software-related project functions for our NAVAIR customer by supporting Agile and Dev/Ops implementation activities; collaborate between self-organizing and cross-functional teams
  • Work closely with Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Testers to develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases/scripts to identify software problems and their causes
  • Capture and manage software/application defects in tracking system
  • Communicate issues and work directly with software developers to analyze and ensure corrections are resolved to meet approved specifications/requirements
  • Participate in software design reviews to provide input on requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and configuration management tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Azure DevOps, GIT, Jira
  • Understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices and policies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired:
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and DevSecOps
  • Knowledgeable on automation test tools & techniques (Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium, etc.)
  • Experience supporting applications within the NAVAIR hosting environments

Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
AS or AA degree and 3 years related experience OR HS and 5 years related experience.
