Customer Service Asst - Non-student (Finance)



The Student Success division at the University of South Florida is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience. The Office of the Registrar leads a hub of critical services for students, faculty, and staff, including
student an academic record keeping, a conflict free academic schedule, registration, graduation, data reporting and state and federal compliance to support the University's educational programs.

The customer service assistant responds to inquiries received through phone and email with questions or concerns for the Office of the Registrar (URO). They operate with an understanding of the needs of the business unit, to answer the URO's mainline inquiries to assist the office in providing excellent customer service to the university, general public and general office. This position serves as a valued resource supplying and interpreting University Regulations, Policies and Procedures as well as Office of the Registrar (URO) services via the phone and to inquiries received in our general use email inboxes.

Strong attention to detail, comfort working a hybrid remote schedule, ability to triage technical issues when on phone calls to ensure callers receive best customer service, data entry.High School diploma is required with at least 2 years of customer experience preferred with ability to resolve information while listening to customer concern/questions is desired. Must have a PC. Knowledge of Ellucian Banner, including BDM document management; academic policies .

Answers several general email boxes for the area providing proper communication, etiquette and information to individuals who are writing in to the Office of the Registrar. Proactively inform and educate others processes and procedures.

Assist in processing student requests, such as non-degree applications and inquiries, update term of entry and processing transient applications.
\n
Responsible for ensuring confidentiality of student data. Performs all work with confidential and sensitive student information under observance of the Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and other federal and State guidelines. Informs the individuals working with confidential student information about legal
restrictions, privileges, and ethical considerations surrounding its use.

Regularly updates Assistant Registrar on status of projects, highlighting important issues and areas of concern. Apply
