Advanced Technical Product Owner (Finance)



As a Advanced Technical Product Owner here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing guidance through the product lifecycle, ensuring technical solutions are developed and delivered on schedule. You will collaborate with product management to align solutions with market and customer demand, while mitigating technical risks associated with new product development.

You will report directly to our Technical Product Owner Manager and you'll work out of our Atlanta, Georgia location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by driving continuous improvement and innovation within the product management function, further solidifying Honeywell's position at the forefront of technological advancements.

  • 4+ years of experience in a Technical Product Owner role or similar technical leadership position and overall experience of 8+ years.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical or Instrumentation or Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field with 5+ years of experience in the Industrial Automation Domain
  • Knowledge of Process Simulation software, Operator Training Simulator and Process controls systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile principles.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize technical requirements.
  • Drive the development of technical specifications and ensure alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and prioritize technical requirements, features, and user stories for development teams.
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is transparent, understood, and prioritized based on business value and technical feasibility.
  • Own the quality, scope, and timeline for software releases, identifying and proactively managing risks.
  • Work with system architects and engineers to capture feature requests and guide the technical design.
