Job Overview: This position is responsible for maintaining passenger safety from pickup to drop off and back. Safety is priority. Driving in a safe and professional manner. Talking to guests frequently both in person and over PA system & directing traffic/parking vehicles in an organized and professional manner. Position will require shoveling snow off shuttles and maintaining a clean, neat workspace. Helping guests with stuck or stalled cars. Keep shuttles clean and free of debris. Stand or drive for long periods of time in all weather conditions. This job description is intended to be a broad description of duties. Essential Job Responsibilities: Able to drive shuttles all day, safely and professionally Experience with gooseneck trailers/hitch/cattle car driving preferred Maintain trucks and shuttles in good working order (check brake lights, tires, fuel, etc.) Report any vehicle maintenance issues to supervisor in a timely manner Able to direct traffic and park vehicles in an organized and professional manner Assist in snow removal in parking lots via shovel, operation of back hoe, front end loader, etc. Put snow chains on trucks when needed Help keep trucks clean and shovel snow off shuttles Alert to and aware of potential dangerous situations on roads and or in pedestrian lanes Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via hand held and truck radios Aware of safety and security policies and procedures as related to self, guests, co-workers and property Keep parking area and parking shack clean, neat and free of debris Assist guests with stuck or stalled cars Answer guest questions with patience and pleasantness Control shuttle loading and unloading Potential to be requested to drive shuttles dependent upon applicable licensures and compliance to company driving regulations Reliable attendance on all scheduled work days Other duties as assigned Personal Skills: Strong personal character and commitment to Taos Ski Valley, Inc.s Commitment and Passions. Qualifications/Knowledge: Possess a valid CDL drivers license, clean driving record and successful pass of MVR check Must be 25 years of age or older per insurance requirements 1-2 years experience driving CDL preferred Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred Educational requirements include: High School Diploma or equivalent Fluent English skills Strong customer service skill set Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high altitude alpine environment. Position will require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and will be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions for long periods of time. Standing & walking 20-30% of the time. Bending, reaching, kneeling 10%-20% of the time. May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently. Requires talking and hearing 100% of the time, tasting & smelling 10% of the time. This position will be in a vehicle in winter conditions 80% of the time and exposed to the outdoors 30% of the time and on snow in cold, winter conditions, requiring travel on uneven, snow packed or icy terrain.
