JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Systems & Data Analytics Manager is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for optimizing and supporting our JD Edwards (JDE) ERP system and driving data analytics initiatives across the Accounting and Finance functions. This role serves as a critical liaison between Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and actionable insights through advanced reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Critical thinking, attention to detail & proactiveness are pivotal to success in this role. This role is eligible for remote work. The role reports to the Director Internal Controls and Process Improvement at The Wine Group.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Process Improvement & Operational Support

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within Accounting and Finance operations and implement robust improvements leveraging system capabilities.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, including documentation and stakeholder alignment.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities with system and data expertise.

Reporting / Visualization - Design, Update and Maintenance

  • Advanced Excel knowledge demonstrating a thorough knowledge of various Mathematic, Logical, Text and Reference formulas.
  • Experience with Power Bi is a must as a modern reporting platform, focusing on report consistency, ease of use, and adoption.
  • Capacity to utilize a combination of DAX and SQL queries while leveraging Power Query for report generation and automation.
  • Develop a suite of reports and dashboards that are routinely managed, updated, and presented to a wide audience.
  • Drive report adoption through live or virtual trainings, explaining key metric definitions, report capabilities, and analysis outcomes.

ERP Systems Optimization

  • Act as the primary business owner for JDE financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Procurement working directly with IT to optimize JDE financial modules and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, define requirements, and implement solutions.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, including documentation and stakeholder alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or relative experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technology projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Bi)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional integrity.
  • Able to execute multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Primary work activities are within an office environment.
  • Limited travel to production facilities in California to assist with audits and complete annual physical inventory checks.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary Range Posted: $111,700 - $167,500.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities; education, and other position-related factors.
