SUMMARY: Responsible for scheduling and assigning drivers for fuel deliveries.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish delivery routes, record times of departure, arrivals, type of fuel loaded and/or delivered. Communicate with drivers and customers via phone and radio. Ensure equipment and employees are dispatched in the most efficient and effective manner.EDUCATION: High School or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years related experience. Experience dispatching preferred.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly and effectively, written and verbally.
OTHER: Class A or B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required. Knowledge of fuel products and Alaskan geography preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
