This role requires a highly skilled and strategic Senior Program Manager to lead business development and strategy initiatives in the dynamic healthcare and medical devices field in the Neuroscience Portfolio. This position demands strong ability to navigate a cross-functional matrix and effectively partner with functional leaders and corporate development. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), proven expertise in valuation, a keen understanding of market trends, and a deep knowledge of the healthcare and medical device industries. It is perfectly suited for a strategic thinker passionate about transforming healthcare.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive business growth through comprehensive market analysis and strategic partnership development
  • Project Management: Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and objectives
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and success
  • Change Management: Adapt strategies and operations to evolving business needs and market conditions
  • Corporate Navigation: Navigate the organizational structure to enhance collaboration and influence outcomes
  • Strategic Recommendations: Develop and implement actionable recommendations to enhance business and operational performance
  • Leadership Support: Provide leadership coverage and manage critical initiatives as needed
  • Additional Duties: Perform market analyses, develop transaction structures, engage with partners, and oversee due diligence
  • Travel: 20%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • A strong understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and the clinical trial process
  • Significant experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with a strong track record in M&A and strategic valuations
  • Experience in building advanced financial models and strategic presentations
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand complex technical product information and apply this knowledge in business strategy and project management
  • Analytical Skills: Strong strategic thinking with capabilities in assessing market trends, competitor landscapes, and conducting industry research

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$164,000.00 - $246,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match , Short-term disability , Paid time off , Paid holidays , Employee Stock Purchase Plan , Employee Assistance Program , Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums) , and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
