Special Events Coordinator (Administrative)

GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for coordinating and executing the organization's internal and external fundraising events including a Gala, Chefs event, Golf and Pickleball, donor stewardship, capital campaign, wine drop parties, and other events throughout the year. Interfaces with a variety of internal and external audiences: donors, volunteers, staff, and outside vendors. Responsible for other areas of fundraising as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be able to be associated with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), which typically includes clearance by FBI, DOJ and CACI.
· Bachelor's degree in fundraising, non-profit management, certified meeting professional or equivalent.
· Two to five years' development experience, including annual campaigns.
· Knowledge of fund development principles and public relations.
· Strong event planning, organizational, administration, follow through, telephone and interpersonal communication skills, detail and “big picture” oriented, with solution-driven problem-solving skills.
· Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Donor Perfect and Greater Giving a plus.
· Skilled in preparing written reports and presentations.
· Strong writing, editing, and presentation ability.
· Professional appearance and demeanor, flexible and able to respond to multiple demands.
· Able and willing to take responsibility.
· Must possess reliable personal transportation and have a clean driving record if under 25 years old, and no more than 1 moving violation within the last 3 years if 25 years of age or older.
· Eligible to work for any employer in the US.
· Must have auditory, visual, and physical skills to be able to perform tasks as outlined in this job description.
· Must be flexible regarding work schedule.
