Director of Revenue Cycle Management (Finance)

JOB SUMMARY:
As the Director of Revenue Cycle Management, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership for our revenue cycle processes. You will lead a team responsible for operational, financial, legislative, compliance, programmatic, and personnel activities related to revenue cycle management. Your role will involve aligning goals and objectives, collaborating with executive leadership, and identifying opportunities for improving cash flow while maximizing revenue cycle performance. This position has the potential to be hybrid.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take a hands-on approach to direct day-to-day revenue cycle operations, including patient access, billing, claims processing, coding, and collections, ensuring that processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant.Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue cycle management strategy to maximize revenue and minimize financial risks.Oversee the end-to-end claims process, from submission to resolution, ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions.Provide detailed clarification on individual claims, working closely with the billing team to address any discrepancies or denials promptly.Stay current with healthcare regulations and compliance standards, ensuring that billing practices adhere to all relevant guidelines.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle processes.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing revenue cycle team, providing guidance and training to enhance staff skills and ensure optimal performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Collaborate with external vendors and partners to optimize revenue cycle operations and vendor relationships.Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue trends and identify areas for improvement to increase cash flow and minimize revenue leakage.Implement patient-centric strategies to enhance the billing and payment experience, ensuring transparency and patient satisfaction.Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate revenue cycle performance and strategies to senior management and board of directors.Coordinate Revenue Cycle activities with clinical and operational stakeholders across the enterprise.Identify areas for process improvement and develop and implement innovative solutions, including streamlining workflows, reducing denials, and improving revenue capture.Collaborate with patients and resolve billing inquiries, providing clear and courteous communication to ensure patient satisfaction as needed.
