Product Manager (Finance)

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Alpha Index Hub team. This role will focus on delivering high-quality, data-driven solutions to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of financial benchmarks and indices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial data analysis, stakeholder management, and process optimization, with a deep understanding of index methodologies and managed services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and technology teams, to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our benchmark and index offerings.

What you will be responsible for

Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and development teams, to gather and document business requirements for benchmark/index managed services. Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications. Index Methodology Support: Analyze and validate index methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Identify opportunities for methodology enhancements. Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of benchmarks and indices. Develop and implement quality control processes to mitigate risks and errors. Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in workflows related to index calculation, rebalancing, and reporting. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business, technical, and client teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Present complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Project Management: Lead and support projects related to the development, enhancement, or maintenance of benchmark/index managed services. Ensure timely delivery within scope and budget. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory requirements (e.g., IOSCO, EU BMR) impacting benchmarks and indices. Ensure all processes and deliverables comply with relevant regulations. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides. Develop reports and dashboards to provide insights into index performance and operational metrics. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred. Experience:

10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with at least 2 years focused on benchmarks, indices, or managed services.

Proven experience working with financial data, index methodologies, or market data platforms.

Experience with regulatory frameworks governing benchmarks (e.g., IOSCO, EU BMR) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel (advanced).

Familiarity with index calculation platforms, financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Understanding of API integration and data workflows in managed services environments.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with index rebalancing, weighting methodologies, or custom index creation.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $212,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
