Material Sales Clerk
Position Overview
Performs a wide variety of clerical responsibilities within the Material Sales (MS) Billing department.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Validate and process asphalt tickets from point-of-sales system daily
- Correspond with asphalt plants, customers and other departments to resolve issues
- Report asphalt volumes weekly to management
- Enter and process hauler time sheets daily
- Process and post hauler payments weekly
- Maintain hauler contracts and insurance information
- Correspond with haulers and insurance agents
- Research customer and haul discrepancies
- Populate and distribute customer statements
- Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP rules
- Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
- Other duties as directed
Other Requirements:
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
- Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
- Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all W-L Company employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
- Knowledge with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and Experience
High school diploma required.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate sufficiently with diverse groups to solve problems, exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions. Ability to speak effectively and professionally to customers or employees of organization.
