VP, Brand Strategy and Creative Services (Marketing)



Job Summary

The Vice President, Brand Strategy & Creative Services will lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand and creative strategies that drive market growth and enhance brand equity. This senior leadership role oversees all creative functions, including brand strategy, design, copywriting, and packaging. Additionally, the VP leads the marketing operations team encompassing content management and the full account executive team, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of impactful marketing initiatives.

Job Description

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Brand Strategy & Creative Leadership 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with business goals. 

  • Lead and mentor team responsible for developing compelling value propositions across diverse products and solutions, ensuring alignment with market needs, clear and thoughtful pull-through plans, and measurable business goals. 

  • Lead creative teams including designers, copywriters, and packaging specialists to deliver cohesive brand messaging and ensure brand consistency and product differentiation. 

2. Marketing Operations Management 

  • Manage marketing operations including content management systems and workflows to maximize efficiency and quality. 

  • Ensure smooth coordination between creative services and marketing execution teams. 

  • Direct and support the account executive team in project management, client communication, and campaign delivery. 

3. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement 

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of brand and creative initiatives. 

  • Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing performance and drive continuous improvement. 

4. Cross-functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with teams across Product Divisions, Sales, HR, IT, and Finance to align on business goals, performance metrics, and infrastructure. 

  • Collaborate closely with marketing departments—including performance, data, & analytics,  product & sales marketing, sales enablement, and corporate communications—to ensure alignment on strategy, messaging, targeting, and creative optimization. 

  • Work with executive leadership to shape business strategy using data-driven insights. 

5. Team Development & Leadership 

  • Manage through multiple managers, leading one or more major departments with system-wide accountability. 

  • Hire, mentor, and develop high-caliber marketing and analytics professionals, fostering agility, partnership, and accountability. 

  • Oversee strategic, tactical, and strategic planning and annual operation planning and budgeting for the team. 

  • Cultivate a performance-oriented culture grounded in experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement. 

  • Exhibit exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Successfully navigate ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 12+ years of experience in brand strategy, creative services, and marketing services with 5+ years in senior leadership. 

  • Proven track record of building and scaling capabilities and driving measurable business growth. 

  • Proven track record leading creative teams and managing multi-disciplinary marketing functions. 

  • Strong expertise in brand development, packaging design, and marketing operations. 

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. 

  • Experience managing and mentoring account executive teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities. 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required. 

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$267,280.00 - $400,920.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
