Position Overview:
As a Technical Training Specialist, you will partner with the Operations & Training teams on various training development projects. This role is responsible for coordinating site training initiatives and objectives, including hourly and salaried workforce training; focused on reducing downtime, increasing efficiency and increasing employee competencies. The Technical Training Specialist will be serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for the area in which they are assigned. Maintaining a current understanding of equipment, procedures and process will be critical to the success of this role. As a member of the training team this role will require the ability to maintain, edit and review training documentation, audit department procedure and training materials, and validate understanding of training materials.
Responsibilities:
· Serving as a subject matter expert, this role will serve as a resource for operations employees, fostering excellence in manufacturing operations.
· Conduct on-the-job training related to area's core functional operations to ensure employee is competent to perform their assigned tasks.
· Support operations by providing training for new and existing members through classroom and 1:1 training.
· Make suggestions, design and develop training material (procedures, SOPs, OPLs, guides, visual aids or other materials) to meet learning objectives.
· Collaborate with other subject matter experts to teach/learn additional programs and provide idea sharing and feedback.
· Review ongoing employee skill level performance, identify gaps and complete skills assessments.
· Lead cross-training and upskilling initiatives based on skill assessments and needs of the business.
· Work with L&D partners to monitor training delinquency and forecast in assigned work area to ensure that all training is current, and manufacturing associates remain compliant regarding training requirements.
· Maintain manufacturing process/product knowledge by periodically supporting production.
· Participate in first run meetings, changeovers or start ups to ensure adherence to processes and maintain current standards in future trainings.
· Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of training, developing and onboarding employees.
· 3+ years plant manufacturing experience in a food industry or related manufacturing facility.
· Demonstrated leadership and team development skills. Can build a positive and productive team environment.
· The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
· Possess strong one-on-one communication skills.
· Demonstrates the ability to meet the information needs of the team through regular and effective communication and follow-up.
· Ability to effectively multi-task job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of administrative processes, systems and procedures for area of responsibility.
· Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
· Ability to remain calm, apply good judgment and decision making under pressure.
· Ability to effectively troubleshoot a variety of issues (assess a situation, identify the cause, and determine potential solutions).
· Experience and ability to use Microsoft suite of products including Excel
· Available and flexible to work overtime as needed to support the team and the business needs.
· Strong record of performance in the areas of attendance, safety, quality, and productivity.
· High school diploma/GED required; post-secondary education preferred.

Hours, Location and Pay:
We offer a competitive base pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This position works at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility Monday-Thursday, 5:30- 3:30 am/pm or Tuesday-Friday, 5:30 - 3:30am/pm with the ability to adjust hours as needed for business needs.

Physical and Mental Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.

· Mental demands include multi-tasking, decision making, problem solving, comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing data.
