Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Finance)

Nemours Children's Health is seeking Pediatric Physiatrists to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.

Selected candidates will provide interdisciplinary, patient-centered rehabilitation care to optimize function, promote independence and improve quality of life for pediatric patients with a variety of congenital, developmental and acquired conditions.

Key responsibilities:

• Direct the care of pediatric patients with a range of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and developmental conditions including cerebral palsy, brain and spinal cord injuries, congenital anomalies and chronic pain syndromes
• Develop and manage individualized care plans focused on functional goals, mobility, communication, and self-care
• Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as other medical and surgical specialists
• Prescribe orthotics, prosthetics, adaptive equipment, and therapies as appropriate.
• Provide care in both inpatient rehabilitation units and outpatient clinics
• Participate in acute care consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board eligible/certified in specialty
• Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
