Community Liaison (Field Based) (Personal Services)



ERM is hiring a Community Liaison in Inola, Oklahoma. This position engages directly with clients, consultants, and community members on a regular basis to assist the client Public Affairs & Economic Development Lead to facilitate engagement and meetings with local authorities and community members.

This is a part-time (8+ hours a week), limited-term role with a duration of 18 months, potentially extendable.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for the public.
  • Attends and facilitates local in-person open houses, site visits, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Responds to landowner inquiries.
  • Supports strategy and informational material development.
  • Supports implementation of communication plan and public engagement strategy.
  • Attends internal project team meetings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge of project and/or corporate communications, public affairs, community relations, or local community involvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs or similar with relevant field experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, note taking and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities, synthesize ideas, plan strategically, and implement actions
  • Located within easy commuting distance of Inola, OK.

  • Previous experience with a mining/metals company or client is preferred
