Infection Prevention Nurse (IP Nurse/LVN) - Antelope Valley Care Center (Healthcare)
Monitor Compliance: Ensure staff follow proper hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation protocols through regular audits and rounds.
Track and Report Infections: Maintain logs of infections, analyze trends, and report communicable diseases to health authorities.
Collaborate Across Departments: Support all facility departments in developing and enforcing infection control procedures.
Train and Educate Staff: Deliver ongoing staff training on infection control policies, bloodborne pathogens, and TB protocols.
Develop & Maintain Policies: Create and update infection prevention policies for sterilization, waste disposal, and equipment handling.
Respond to Outbreaks: Lead investigations and corrective action plans for infection outbreaks within the facility.
Support Care Plans: Help develop and review care plans for residents in isolation to ensure proper precautions are followed.
Participate in Committees & Inspections: Provide infection control expertise during facility surveys and internal committee reviews.
Meet Qualifications: Must be a licensed LVN with infection control knowledge (CIC preferred); physically able to manage job demands and potential biohazard exposure.
