Tetra Tech has an immediate opening for an experienced Word Processor/ Administrative Assistant/Project Assistant to support the Portland, OR office Water/Wastewater civil engineering staff.

Your Role:

This position will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary design teams for water and wastewater conveyance, pumping, and treatment projects for the Water/Wastewater Group in Tetra Tech's Pacific Northwest Infrastructure Group. Typical municipal water/wastewater projects include collection and conveyance systems, water and wastewater pump stations, storage tanks and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation.

  • This is a part time to full-time position depending upon experience and ability.
  • Perform daily general office administrative duties
  • Word processing assistance producing technical reports, specifications, and proposals; and assistance with project set-up, development of health and safety plans and invoicing.
  • Support senior level executives, project managers and engineers, each of whom will rely on this individual to format and editorial QC large and small documents.
  • Periodically face tight deadlines on a variety of submittals which may require flexible work schedules.
  • Previous experience in an engineering office is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of recent experience in producing documents using advanced Microsoft Office Suite is essential, specifically Word and Excel (Please cite examples of recent assignments)
  • 5+ Years recent experience in producing documents using Adobe format applications (Please be prepared to cite recent examples)
  • Recent experience with senior level executives, project managers and engineers, each of whom will rely on this individual to format and editorial QC large and small documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain paper and electronic project files for the group
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and independently manage multiple tasks, to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to perform a variety of administrative tasks as needed
  • Previous experience in an engineering office strongly preferred
  • Only well-qualified, experienced candidates will be considered
