Salesforce & Certinia Developer (Information Technology)



 

Are you passionate about building scalable enterprise solutions that streamline operations and empower teams? We're seeking a Salesforce & Certinia Developer to improve and enhance the Certinia and Salesforce platforms taking ownership of all programmatic requests: collaborating on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validating the proposals, and delivering the solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and implement Certinia solutions on the Salesforce platform 
  • Create reports, charts, and dashboards to meet the needs of the business 
  • Configure workflows, alerts and other forms of push notifications 
  • Create custom code to add or enhance functionality in cases where the out-of-the-box software cannot be configured to achieve the desired functionality 
  • Integrate information from Salesforce/Certinia and other non-integrated systems, through APIs, for the purpose of consolidating reports. 
  • Customize modules for billing, revenue management, and professional services 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 
  • Lead meetings associated with Salesforce/Certinia functionality and manage/update/distribute project/task lists to keep everyone involved informed and aligned. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce and Certinia applications. 
  • Manage license subscriptions and the overall Salesforce/Certinia contract relationship. 
  • Develop unit/integration test cases 
  • Perform data updates/migration using Data Loader, Workbench, and Data Import Wizard 
  • Create Tabular, Summary, Joined, and Matrix Salesforce Reports for Data Analysis. Schedules Reports and Dashboards and maintains access to Report and Dashboard folders. 
  • Develop Salesforce solutions using Customization with support - APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, etc.,  
  • Ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure code. 
  • Document technical solutions and processes for future reference. 
  • Oversees all aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, and public groups  
  • Provides new and ongoing user training to ensure effective and efficient use of the platform and creates training materials  
  • Communicates platform changes and updates to end users 
  • Other duties as assigned 
 
Qualifications:  

 

  • 5–7 years of hands‑on Salesforce development 

  • Experience with Certinia (FinancialForce) specifically FFA and PSA 

  • Hands-on development experience in Salesforce configuration with customization experience 

  • Experience managing Salesforce security using Profiles, Permission sets, OWD, Role Hierarchy, and Manual Sharing. 

  • Hands-on experience to promote and deploy code using ANT tool and Changesets. Knowledge / Hands-on experience using CI tools like GIT, Jenkins, etc. is a plus. 

  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and data migration 

  • Development experience in UI technologies like Bootstrap, AngularJS, jQuery, Javascript would be a plus 

  • Java, HTML or CSS background a huge preference 

  • Certifications: Minimum Salesforce Platform Developer I  

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts 

  • Expert understanding of Visual Force, Lightning Component Framework, Flow Process Builder, Apex controllers, Triggers, APIs, Governor limits, Web Services, and Batch Jobs 

  • High-level requirements gathering, ability to translate into technical specifications 

  • Knowledge of Salesforce Architectural best practices 

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and ability to lead small to medium-sized projects or development efforts 

  • General understanding of accounting and the various processes within the accounting function 

  • Ability to accurately estimate deliverables requirements into development hours
