Position Overview:

ARKA is seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our Radar and Sensors Technology (RST) business to oversee community engagements and prepare the program for operation. This position will be responsible for working across the ARKA team as well as with the rest of the enterprise, including the government and other vendors, to ensure ARKA's capabilities meet government expectations and integrate with other technologies. This position requires an individual with knowledge of the Synthetic Aperture Radar enterprise and ability to think independently and communicate effectively while representing the company and program.

Candidates for this position should have a passion for modern software practices and understand how to organize teams to meet delivery deadlines. Similarly, candidates should be able to represent the program in a large enterprise and provide input on how to best integrate our technology with other vendors.

This is a non-people management position based in Melbourne, FL. The expected start date for the position is mid to late July.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical contributions and leadership within the program and coordinate across the business
  • Provide engineering support to large enterprise programs for all aspects of ground system development from mission analysis through verification/validation of system performance
  • Use knowledge of synthetic aperture radar systems to drive program toward operations and integration with cutting edge technologies
  • Engage directly with ARKA's customers and facilitate other leadership engagement where appropriate
  • Mentor and develop technical staff to achieve their full professional potential

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • 10 years of experience with geospatial processing and imaging systems
  • Detailed understanding of current SAR and other imaging systems, related ground architectures, and current prime contractors
  • Experience leading integrated product teams as a product owner and delivering capabilities on budget and schedule
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and a willingness to travel as required
  • Positive, collaborative attitude to help inspire internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to interact with a cross functional team and act as customer interface
  • Experience working on an Agile team and executing according to SAFe principles
