Licensed Outpatient Therapist - North Liberty (Healthcare)



Reports to: Clinical Site Director

Key Interfaces: Clinic management, business office staff, operational staff members, administrative staff members

Rationale: The Licensed Outpatient Therapist is an experienced mental health clinician who is knowledgeable of and competent in treatment of a variety of emotional disorders. They work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary clinicians in the outpatient and home-based services as well as support staff of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd., in a collegial fashion. They meet the requirements to be considered a Mental Health Professional as per MN 245i.04.02.

Job Duties:

1. Designs and implements treatment/intervention reflective of identified patient needs, stated in terms of expected outcome, including strategy to achieve stated outcomes.
2. Maintains EEHR patient records in accordance with policy requirements.
3. Builds and maintains full-time case load for self.
1. Completes and bills documentation for sessions within 24 hours.
4. Attends and participates in required amount of clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews per Minnesota 245i and DHS Standards.
5. Responsible for timely completion of patient prior authorizations and other necessary insurance processing information.
6. Follows policies and procedures of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd.
7. Responds to patient complaints in coordination with Clinic Director.
8. Consults with Clinical Site Director on complex cases.
9. Will make referrals to NAL Outpatient Clinicians (licensed & unlicensed therapists), psychiatric providers, Home Based program, ARMHS Program, Substance Use Disorder Program and any other developing NAL programs for mental health services whenever possible.
10. Supports and participates in the marketing of the clinic.
11. Responsible for timely completion of Managed Care applications and ongoing documentation as needed.
Qualifications:

1. Mental Health Professional as per Minnesota 245i.04.2 regulations.
2. Ability to work in a positive and cooperative fashion.
3. Unrestricted Minnesota license as a:
a. Licensed Independent Clinical Social work (defined: 148E.050, subdivision 5)
b. a psychologist licensed by the Board of Psychology (defined: under sections 148.88 to 148.98)
c. a marriage and family therapist licensed (defined: under sections 148B.29 to 148B.392)
d. a licensed professional clinical counselor licensed (defined: under section 148B.5301)
