SPT Sales Operations Manager (Sales)



Job Summary

The Sales Operations Manager oversees the daily activities of quoting project managers and project analysts, including kitting group quoting, project financials, and sales support. This role manages team members, handles escalations, reviews workloads, and leads employee training and development.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily team operations, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion. 

  • Conduct sales forecasting, analytics, productivity tracking, CRM maintenance, and other sales support functions. 

  • Serve as primary contact for the Sales Team, resolving general business issues and escalating to Sales Ops leaders as needed. 

  • Analyze performance metrics to coach and develop the Sales Support team, fostering a motivated and competent workforce. 

  • Maintain and enforce department SOPs; oversee internal data accuracy and cross-references. 

  • Assign and balance workloads and timelines for competitive quoting projects, support escalations on quotes and deadlines. 

  • Train sales reps and specialists on quoting processes and project details. 

  • Coordinate with division leads (DRIs) to ensure quoting alignment and communication updates. 

  • Ensure accuracy in quoting and ad hoc requests; partner with marketing on RFP/RFI questionnaires and backfills. 

  • Support internal Sales, Kitting, and Sales Operations teams as needed. 

Required Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree.

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales analysis or related area.

  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.

Additional

  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

  • Enterprise software experience (ex. SAP, AS400). 

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel (using SUM function, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, indirect equations, IF statements). 

  • Intermediate to advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: creating and modifying queries, modifying data types and forms, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels, using conditional formatting and/or viewing data relationships). 

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, increases, and total impact.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
