Administrative III - IT & Engineering Intern (Architecture)



Work Hours: Up to 40 Hours per week

Pay rate: $21.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities will include the daily IT support of our Charlotte HQ office and manufacturing location. Qualified candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering and/or IT related fields, have a passion for technology, a business mindset, a customer service-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work with others. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize, troubleshoot/resolve problems, and follow-through with internal clients to meet established deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, written, and customer service skills.
  • High aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A self-starter that can work with minimal supervision; highly organized.
  • Provide support on our corporate IT Service Desk
  • Work with plant maintenance team on equipment rebuilding and maintenance
  • Utilize AutoCAD 2D as needed
  • Create system documentation as needed
  • Collect plant floor data
  • Install new printers/copiers/hand-held scanners and other office equipment.
  • Understand Windows 10 and be able to configure and troubleshoot PC level problems.
  • Understand basic Windows Active Directory; user accounts and security groups.
  • Install and support enterprise applications.
  • Perform data maintenance and data archiving.
  • Assist with office moves/expansions.
  • Attend team meetings as needed
  • Attend required company safety training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office 365, OneDrive for business, networking basic fundamental.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016 printing and file level NTFS permissions.

Education/Experience:  

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software;  Internet software;  Manufacturing software; Database software and Contact Management systems
